Hello readers, I hope this blog finds you well and well rested after the mega feast that was Thanksgiving...
I have taken to the task of giving myself back the "me time" I lost along the way and this has invloved not only my rants here on my blog but other things like checking up on my social media. I have created my own You Tube channel (MsGigiT85) that right now may not have much but soon will be filled with all the thoughts I have about pretty much anything. It is a known fact that over half of our decisions are based on the opinion of others, why not let that opinion be mine!
Influester is another thing I have reconnected with, it is a great site that allows it's users to form a community of people who have opinions and want to share them; want to know what's the best shampoo for your hairless cat? There's an influester for that! What's even cooler is the fact that you earn badges for your knowledge, so others can see what you are an expert at and go to you for answers to their questions because, sure 4 out of 5 people recommend Trident, but if you don't know those 4 people is doesn't matter squat :)
Ok, I know it sounds like I went off on a tangent with the influenster thing but I swear I have a point... allowing yourself to have "me time" means that you have the time to discover yourself and this site does just that, it allows you to find out a little more about yourself through the unlocking of badges, completing tasks and reaping the rewards (I didn't mention, there are goodies that come with being an influester). So, join me in taking back "me time" and sign up to influenster.com, you've got nothing to lose and TONS of goodies to gain ;)

The Mystery of the Missing Thanksgiving
I was walking down the street the other day, at night, and I was delighted to see all of the Christmas decorations up with all the lights and trees, and it got me thinnking "Wait, this is still NOVEMBER!!" What happened to Thanksgiving? What happened to dinner with the family, the turkey, the GIVING THANKS?! It seems as if nowadays the fourth Thursday of November is just the day before Black Friday, the first day of a four-day weekend for those of us lucky enough to get it off. I remember getting all dolled up and ready to have a large feast with my family on these days and now, I'm lucky if I can get four of us rounded up for dinner. It is especially sad for me now because I have two children, I don't want them thinking that this day is meaningless. I propose that tomorrow, Thursday November 22, we don't think or even mention Chistmas and instead enjoy the day for what it is; a time to spend with your loved ones and give thanks for all of the wonderful blessings in your life. In these times when the unemployment rate is high and everybobdy's spirits are low, it may be harder to find something to be thankful for but believe me if you look hard enough you will find that someone "up there" (who ever that may be for you) has blessed you in ways you cannot even image....
I am thankful for you (thanks for reading), for my family and my health....
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

New beginings..
I'm sure every blogger starts off this way, with an inspiration to start anew chronicling every step of the way... until two weeks later when they have grown tired of their soap box and stop writting. I'm am like that 100%, you may never hear from me after today and you may not even know I or this project ever existed but for now I am hopeful. I remember buying a journal in second grade and thinking I was going to write in it everyday, almost 20 years later half of the book is still empty, but it isn't for a lack of words, it is a lack of "me time"... I shouldn't look at this like a chore, this should and will be fun, so just stick around and read my random thought, rants and raves about the world, moments of sadness cheer and victory and if after two weeks I'm gone, please know I had fun while it lasted :)
